20 Mar 16 Two Men Charged for Discharging Firearm The above offenders were arrested and charged after they were curbed driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee fleeing from the vicinity of a call of “shots fired” which occurred in the area of the 200 blk of E. Balboa on March 19, 2016 at approximately 2:00 P.M. A weapon and spent shell casings were recovered from offender’s vehicle.

Detectives are seeking to identify and interview the pictured subject for an Aggravated Battery which occurred on the CTA Orange Line Train on February 29, 2016 at approximately 2:30 p.m. The offender broke the nose and orbital bone of a passenger on the Orange Line after the passenger (victim) asked him not to smoke on the train. Near South Side Woman Charged with Murder
Caress Shumaker, 29 was arrested after she was identified as the person who fatally stabbed a 27 year old man. This incident occurred on March 9, 2016 at approximately 8:40 p.m. in the 2100 block of S. Michigan Avenue. Shumaker was involved in a domestic related altercation when she stabbed the victim in the chest. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital where he was later pronounced. Gurnee Man Charged in Douglas Shooting
Through a joint effort with the Waukegan Police Department Gang Intelligence Unit, Chicago Gang Investigations, and Area Central Detectives, investigators were able to locate and arrest 25 year old Cameron White in Waukegan, IL. White had been identified as the man responsible for shooting two people on February 20, 2016, in the 2100 block of S. Wabash at approximately 2:00 a.m. Click here for more information on this arrest

This alert gives notice to taxi drivers and Uber drivers operating in the 1st (Central) District of theft / robbery related incidents that occurred during the month of January. This alert gives notice to residents in the 1st (Central) District of robbery related incidents during the month of January 2016. In the early morning hours, two offenders have identified vehicles parked on the street with drivers entering or exiting. Joint Investigation Renders Over 100 Fraudulent Debit Cards, Cash
During the course of a joint investigation, the Chicago Police Financial Crimes Unit and the 001st District (Central) 167 Tactical Team arrested Titus Jordache on the 0-100 block of N. Dearborn St. on December 19, 2015, at approximately 6:15 pm. The offender was taken into custody and charged accordingly after he was found to be in possession of over 100 fraudulent debit cards with stolen PIN numbers and $44,000 USC.
