Bellwood Man Charged with Criminal Sexual Assault

Community Alert – 1st District – Robbery (P15-1-247)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 1st District (Central) of robbery related incidents during the month of November 2015. Three to four teenage offenders have hidden under or near the train viaduct, and approached guests on the sidewalk as they returned to their hotel. Mayor Emanuel, Superintendent McCarthy Launch Police Recruitment Campaign
Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Superintendent Garry McCarthy today announced that the City is accepting applications to join the Chicago Police Department for the first time since 2013. The starting salary for Chicago police officers is $47,604 and increases to $72,510 after eighteen months of employment. The application period is now open, and will close at the end of the day on Wednesday December 16, 2015. A written exam will be administered in February 2016 to those who apply. Community Alert – 1th & 18th Districts – Robbery (P15-1-189)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 1st (Central) and 18th (Near North) Districts of robbery related incidents during the month of August 2015. Offenders were driving a newer model, small hatchback, black or dark blue in color. The driver was wearing a white shirt in both incidents. Offenders displayed a black handgun in both incidents. Community Alert – 1st District – Robbery (P15-1-187)
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 001st District (Central) of robbery related incidents during the month of August. Unknown offenders have approached victims while walking on sidewalk. The offenders then punched or knocked victims to the ground. Offenders continued to kick their victim or hold their victim on the ground while co-offenders took wallets from the victim’s pants pocket, or stole computer devices from victim’s possession. This alert gives notice to residents in the 1st (Central) District of robbery related incidents during the month of August 2015. An unknown male black offender has approached three females during two separate incidents, displaying a silver handgun, and demanding or physically taking their purses. Man Charged in Fatal Traffic Accident
Charges for Ivan Sanchez Ivan Sanchez was arrested in connection to a fatal traffic accident that occurred on July 18, 2015, at approx. 4:20 am on the 0-100 block of W. Lower Wacker Drive. Sanchez was involved in a traffic crash which resulted in the death of a 20-year-old victim after his vehicle struck a concrete column. The victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital where he was pronounced. Sanchez was taken into custody and charged accordingly. There are no further details…

Community Alert – 1st District – Aggravated Battery (HY276306)
On May 26, 2015, at approximately 9:30 pm, pictured offenders entered the 7-11 grocery store located in the 100 block of N. Michigan Ave. The victim confronted the female offender who was observed by victim leaving the store with stolen merchandise. South Side Man Charged in Michigan Avenue Stabbing
Michael Wims, Jr. was arrested in connection to a stabbing that occurred on June 10, 2015, at approx. 4:35 pm on the 200 block of S. Michigan Ave. During a verbal altercation with the 57-year-old male victim, Wims produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the neck. 12Jun15 Charges for Michael Wims Jr.

001st District Burglary P15-1-123CA Burglary Alert[1] This alert gives notice to residents of the 001st District (Central) of an increase in burglary related incidents occurring during the month of May. An unknown offender entered a multi-unit condominium and went floor to floor, looking for unlocked residential units, with no occupants inside. The offender entered the units and took electronic and personal items.
