This alert gives notice to residents of the Morgan Park (22nd) District of four recent garage burglary incidents that occurred in the Morgan Park neighborhood in the month of September 2015. In most of these incidents, an unknown offender makes entry into garages by entering through an unlocked door, or forcibly through a side or overhead door. South Side Man Charged with Murder
Marvin Lee was arrested and charged in connection to a shooting that occurred on the 700 block of E. 47th Street on September 26, 2015, at approximately 12:00 pm. The 25-year-old male victim, who was an acquaintance of the offender, was pronounced at Stroger Hospital after the offender shot him during an altercation. There is no further information available. This alert gives notice to residents in the 6th District (Gresham) of several armed robberies that have occurred between August 23, 2015 – September 23, 2015. This alert gives notice to residents in the 4th District (South Chicago) of two armed robberies reported on Beat 432 involving a similarly described offender. In each incident, the victims were approached by the offender displayed a firearm, demanding money and other property. Following the robbery, the offender was observed relocating to a maroon colored vehicle occupied by several other individuals and fleeing the scene in it. This alert gives notice to residents in the 4th District (South Chicago) of three armed robberies reported on Beats 432 and 433 involving similarly described offenders. In these incidents, the victims were approached by the offenders, one of whom was armed with a firearm. A demand was then made for the victim’s property which they then relinquished.
