This alert gives notice to residents in the 7th, 11th and 15th Districts (Areas North and South) of robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of September. In these incidents, the offender(s) used force or the threat of force by displaying a handgun, and taking cell phones, coats and vehicles from citizens on the street. Chicago Police Officers Save Baby’s Life
On September 12, 2015, at approximately 8:08 p.m., a Sergeant along with two Chicago Police officers working “Operation Impact” observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 6700 block of South Union. The vehicle quickly stopped and the officers were met by the female driver yelling “my baby, my baby” and observed the victim, a two year-old female in the vehicle unresponsive. Roadside Safety Check – 3rd (Grand Crossing) District
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Grand Crossing (3rd) District at 6401 S. Cottage. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12th, 2015. Click here for more information

Business Alert – 22nd District – Burglaries (P15-2-093)
This alert gives notice to businesses in the 22nd (Morgan Park) District of two recent commercial burglary incidents that occurred in the Beverly neighborhood. The targeted businesses were located on the 10200 & 10400 blocks of Western Avenue. In one incident the offender(s) made entry by prying open a window, and in the other, the offender(s) entered by breaking into a vacant office next to the business, then breaching the wall between the businesses. This alert gives notice to residents in the 004th District (South Chicago) of two armed robberies reported in the 8000 block of South Coles. Community Alert – 4th District – Armed Robberies (P15-2-089)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 4th District (South Chicago) of two armed robberies which have occurred in the area extending from Dobson Avenue east to Greenwood Avenue, between 91st and 92nd Street. In each incident, the victims were seated in their vehicles when the offenders approached, produced a chrome or silver plated firearm, and robbed the victims of their valuables.
