Chicago Man Charged with Murder
Brandon Young was arrested and charged after he was identified as the person who fatally stabbed a man on October 31, 2015 at approximately 12:25 a.m. on the 7800 block of S. South Shore Dr. Officers responded to a call of a battery in progress and discovered a 43 year old male in the hallway on the 2nd floor with stab wounds to the head and body. Community Alert – 7th District – Strong Arm Robberies (P15-2-112)
This alert gives notice to residents of the 7th District (Englewood) of three strong armed robberies reported on Beats 711 and 723, around the vicinity of 63rd Street and Halsted Street. Community Alert – 4th District – Armed Robberies (P15-2-111)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 4th District (South Chicago) of two armed robberies reported on Beats 421 and 424 involving similarly described offenders. In each incident, the victims were approached by two to three female offenders, one of whom was observed to be armed with a knife or switchblade. This alert gives notice to residents of the Morgan Park (22nd) District, in the Washington Heights neighborhood of four armed robberies. In these incidents, an unknown male offender approaches males in the alley while they are exiting their garages, displays a handgun and demands their property. Community Alert – 5th District – Residential Burglaries (P15-2-109)
This alert gives notice to residents of the 5th District (Calumet) of an attempted residential burglary that occurred in September 2015and two residential burglaries that occurred in October 2015, all three of which were reported within Beat 0522. In these incidents, entry was made or attempted through a window that was broken by a thrown object. During the two burglary incidents, small electronics and clothing items were taken. This alert gives notice to residents of the 4th District (South Chicago) of two armed robberies reported on Beat 421 involving similarly described offenders. In each incident, the victims were approached by the offenders, one of whom was observed to be armed with a firearm. The victim was then punched in the face by the second offender and robbed. In these incidents, one to two unknown male offender(s) approach their victims and by use of force, robs the victims of their property. Business Alert – 22nd District – Robbery of Delivery Drivers (P15-2-103)
This alert gives notice to businesses in the Morgan Park (22nd) District of two recent Armed Robbery incidents that occurred in the Washington Heights neighborhood. In these incidents, offenders ordered food to be delivered to the 8900 Block of South Carpenter, on September 28 at approx. 9 pm, and the 9100 block of South Racine, on July 9th at approx. 9:15 pm. Community Alert – 5th District – Attempted Kidnapping (HY442565)
On September 29, 2015 at 6:30 am, a 15-year-old female victim was walking northbound on the 10900 block of S. Michigan Avenue when the offender drove past her, pulled over, parked and exited his vehicle. Next, the offender grabbed the victim and attempted to force her into his vehicle.
