Community Alert – 3rd District – Attempted Criminal Sexual Assault (HZ445751)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 3rd District a recent Attempt Criminal Sexual Assault incident. On Thursday, September 24, 2016 at approximately 9:45 P.M., a female victim was jogging northbound on the lakefront trail, in the area of South Shore Dr. and 68th Street. A male ran up behind the victim, grabbed and then shoved the victim into a fence while attempting to sexually assault her. Offender fled westbound on 68th Street. click here for more info

Community Alert – 18th District – Seeking to Identify: Homicide (HZ438933)
Area Central Detectives are seeking to identify the pictured individual regarding a Homicide which occurred on September 18, 2016 at approximately 3:56 a.m. on the 100 block of W. Division St. In this incident, a 20-year-old male was shot and fatally wounded. A 30-year-old male was also shot but survived his injuries. Roadside Safety Check – 3rd (Grand Crossing) District
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Grand Crossing (3rd) District at 7424 S. Stony Island. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016. During roadside safety checks, police officers slow down traffic, stop cars at regular intervals and watch for drivers who show signs of alcohol impairment and other violations as noted below.
