This alert gives notice to residents in the 2nd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents which have occurred during the month of September 2016. In these incidents, three to four offenders have surrounded victims on the sidewalk and have demanded or forcibly removed property. Supt. Johnson Announces Body Camera Expansion throughout CPD
CHICAGO – Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson announced today the expansion of officer-worn body cameras throughout the entire Department over the next two years. DUI Saturation Patrol – 12th (Near West) District
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Near West (12th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016. Brighton Park Man Charged with Manslaughter in Death of Bridgeport Man
Phillip M. Levato was arrested after he was identified as the man who caused the death of a 45-year-old male in the 3000 block of S. Normal Avenue on July 22, 2016 at approximately 11:45 p.m. After a verbal altercation, Levato battered the victim causing him to fall and strike his head on the pavement.
