This alert gives notice to residents in the 6th District (Gresham) of recent Armed Robberies that occurred on Beat 634 between May 3, 2016 and June 2, 2016. In each incident, one to five unknown male offender(s) approached the victims, and by force or at gunpoint took the victims cash, cellular phones or anything of value. Click here for more info

Roseland Man Charged with Murder
Jeremy Givens was arrested after he was identified as the person who fatally stabbed a 42 year old man. This incident occurred on December 24, 2015 at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the 300 block of W. 111th Pl. Given was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim when he stabbed the victim in the chest. He was taken to Christ Hospital where he was later pronounced. Givens was charged accordingly. Superintendent Johnson Announces Every Police Officer Responding to Calls Now Trained to Use a Taser
Superintendent Eddie Johnson and the Chicago Police Department are announcing today that starting this week every police officer responding to calls is now trained to use a Taser. Additionally, CPD is announcing that the police department’s body-worn camera program has officially expanded, with officers in the 14th District now wearing the cameras while on patrol and officers in the 15th District scheduled to wear the cameras in the next couple weeks. Community Alert – 22nd District – Garage Burglaries (P16-2-043)
This alert gives notice to residents of the Morgan Park (22nd) District of recent Garage Burglary incidents that occurred in the Auburn Gresham & Washington Heights neighborhoods on beat 2221. Unknown offender(s) entered Garages through the overhead door either by force, or after a homeowner left it open. Once inside, the offenders took tools, and yard equipment from within.
