Community Alert – Major Accidents, 24th District – Fatal Hit & Run (HZ335479)
On Monday, July 4, 2016, at approximately 9:15 p.m., a 61-year-old male was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the 2600 block of West Peterson Avenue. As a result of the crash, the victim sustained critical injuries. Community Alert – 11th District – Seeking to Identify: Homicide (HZ216949)
Area North Detectives are seeking to identify these individuals who were involved in a Homicide which occurred on April 7, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m. on the 3400 block of W. Chicago Ave. During this incident, the offenders approached the victims on foot and one offender displayed a handgun and fired several shots. Two Charged in Near North Side Armed Robbery
Martin and Davis-Diming were placed into custody and charged after being positively identified as the individuals involved in the armed robbery on the 0-100 block of E. Delaware Pl at approximately 10:14 a.m. on July 5th, 2016. In this incident, the offenders approached a male, 69, and a female, 70, and displayed a handgun while demanding property. Community Alert – 16th District – Attempted Child Luring (HZ333073)
While playing at a park on July 2, 2016, at approximately 6:55 p.m. on the 6200 block of N. Normandy Ave a male eight-year-old’s baseball went over the fence onto Normandy Avenue. The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Shakespeare (14th) District at North Ave. Albany. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016.
