While playing at a park on July 2, 2016, at approximately 6:55 p.m. on the 6200 block of N. Normandy Ave a male eight-year-old’s baseball went over the fence onto Normandy Avenue. The victim then climbed the fence to retrieve the ball. As the victim was doing this, a green SUV that was traveling northbound on Normandy stopped. The unknown male driver told the victim that he would give him a ride and offered candy. The victim then ran back to the field and alerted family members who observed the vehicle go northbound on Normandy and eastbound on Palatine.
