About the crime: Burglaries have occurred in the 024th District where an offender(s) entered a residence by punching out the rear door window, prying at the door lock and then kicking in the door. Community Alert – 25th District – Criminal Sexual Abuse (HY177123, HY177200)
On March 9, 2015 at approximately 8:35 a.m., a 38-year-old female was walking alone on the 3000 block of N. Mason when a male offender approached her and attempted to engage her in conversation of a sexual nature after which he exposed his penis and continued to walk southbound on Mason. This alert gives notice to residents in the 15th District (North) of robberies that have occurred during the month of March 2015. In these incidents, an unknown offender approaches victim, points a revolver at them and demands their property. Indian Head Park Man Charged with Home Invasion
Joseph Benson, 23, was arrested and charged after an incident which occurred on March 7, 2015 at approximately 2:00 a.m. on the 2600 block of N. Mildred Avenue. Police responded to a disturbance and arrived to discover the offender had forced his way into a residence and attacked a 41-year-old male victim while purporting to be a police officer. Community Alert – Major Accidents, 16th District – Hit & Run (HY112680)
On Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at approximately 6:25 p.m., a 55-year-old female was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on the 3400 block of N. Harlem Ave. As a result of the crash, the victim sustained serious personal injuries and is being treated at an area hospital in critical condition. Community Alert – 11th District – Armed Robbery/Handgun (P15-N-063)
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Armed Robbery-Related incidents that have occurred in the month of February. In both incidents, the three unknown offenders displayed a handgun and demanded money and property from the victims. In one incident, the offenders took the victim’s wallet.
