Community Alert – Major Accidents, 14th District – Hit & Run (HY208953)
On April 3, 2015 at 1 p.m., a four-door GMC or Chevrolet SUV travelling eastbound on North Avenue struck a 26-year-old bicyclist when the SUV turned northbound onto Talman Avenue. The bicyclist was critically injured and transported to an area hospital. The vehicle was last scene fleeing northbound on Talman Avenue. Click here for more details regarding this Community Alert

Community Alert – 15th District – Attempted Child Luring (HY205085)
On March 30, 2015, at approximately 3:15-3:30 pm, two 9-year-old males exited school located in the 700 block of N. Lorel Ave. after dismissal and were walking southbound towards Huron St. when a white van pulled up. An unknown male black exited the van and said, “Come here, I got some candy for you,” while holding candy in his hand. The victims did not respond and continued walking. North Side Man and Woman Charged in Armed Robberies
Medina and Marchan were arrested after they were identified as the persons who entered several retail businesses in the 17th and 25th districts from February 1st to March 25, 2015 and robbed the establishments. Medina entered the businesses announced a robbery and displayed a handgun on two of the incidents and a knife in the others, before demanding money and property. Business Alert – 19th District – Commercial Burglaries (P15-N-080)
There have been three recent overnight burglaries to retail stores in District 019. In two of these cases, an unknown offender shattered the front glass door/window of a business.
