The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Wentworth (2nd) District at the intersection of Garfield Blvd and Perry Ave. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26th, 2015. Community Alert – 18th District – Robberies (P15-1-217)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 18th District (Near North) of an increase in Robbery related incidents during the month of September 2015. In these incidents, two male black offenders approach a victim on the street (waiting for their rideshare) and invite victim into their vehicle. This alert gives notice to businesses in the 2nd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents of delivery drivers that have occurred during the month of September. Two Men Charged in Attempted Robbery of Police Officer
Deon Tilman, 19 and Quinton Wiggins, 20 were arrested after they were identified as the offenders who attempted to rob a Chicago Police Officer. This incident occurred on 15 September 2015 at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the 8000 block of S. Homan Ave. During a narcotics investigation Tilman pointed a gun at a Narcotics Division officer.
