Grand Boulevard Man Charged in Austin Shooting
Steven Mc Kinnie,27 was arrested after he was identified as the man who shot two people in the 500 block of S. Lavergne on January 2, 2016 at approximately 4:50 a.m. Mc Kinnie was involved in a verbal dispute when he fired shots in the direction of two males. Community Alert – 2nd District – Public Indecency (HY537810)
This alert gives notice to residents of the 002nd District (Wentworth) of a Public Indecency incident. On Wednesday, December 15th, 2015, on the 4700 block of South Ellis at approximately 9:40am, a female minor was walking to school when an unknown offender, exposed his genitals to the female minor. South Side Man Charged in Elderly Woman’s Murder
Trae Chatmon was arrested after he was identified as the person who fatally stabbed an 89-year-old woman on October 26, 2015 at approximately 2:55 a.m on the 5100 block of S. Michigan Avenue. Chatmon forcefully gained access to the victim’s apartment and struck the victim in the head with an object and stabbed her multiple times. Mayor Emanuel, Superintendent McCarthy Launch Police Recruitment Campaign
Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Superintendent Garry McCarthy today announced that the City is accepting applications to join the Chicago Police Department for the first time since 2013. The starting salary for Chicago police officers is $47,604 and increases to $72,510 after eighteen months of employment. The application period is now open, and will close at the end of the day on Wednesday December 16, 2015. A written exam will be administered in February 2016 to those who apply. Community Alert – 2nd District – Attempted Kidnapping (HY472641)
On October 22, 2015 at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the 3600 block of South King Drive an unknown male black subject grabbed a female juvenile and attempted to put her in his vehicle at the bus stop. The female victim was grabbed by the neck and pushed toward the car, she refused to get into the vehicle and an unknown male citizen intervened preventing the incident. South Side Man Charged with Murder
Marvin Lee was arrested and charged in connection to a shooting that occurred on the 700 block of E. 47th Street on September 26, 2015, at approximately 12:00 pm. The 25-year-old male victim, who was an acquaintance of the offender, was pronounced at Stroger Hospital after the offender shot him during an altercation. There is no further information available.
