Roadside Safety Check – 14th (Shakespeare) District
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Shakespeare (14th) District at North Ave. Albany. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016. During roadside safety checks, police officers slow down traffic, stop cars at regular intervals and watch for drivers who show signs of alcohol impairment and other violations as noted below. Community Alert – 2nd District – Robberies (P16-1-131)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 2nd District (Wentworth) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of May 2016. In these incidents, two offenders approached the victims, produced a handgun and demanded personal property before fleeing the area. In both instances, offenders threatened to shoot the victims.
