This alert gives notice to residents in the 2nd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents which have occurred during the month of November 2016. In these incidents, two to three offenders exited a vehicle (described as either a white van or a gray SUV, possibly a Jeep), surrounded the victims and forcibly removed property, before fleeing the area. Man Charged in Fatal Hit and Run
Jones was charged in connection to a fatal hit and run traffic crash which occurred on July 22, 2016 at approximately 1:50 p.m. on the 3300 block of S. Indiana. Jones was driving a 2016 Ford Cargo Truck westbound on 33rd Street when he ran a red light at Indiana and struck a 2014 Ford F150 pickup being operated by a 37-year-old male.
