Community Alert – 1st & 12th Districts – Robberies (JA250488, JA250398)
This alert gives notice to citizens, particularly those who use CTA trains in the 1st and 12th Police Districts, of two recent robberies. Both incidents occurred on May 4th, 2017 at approximately 12:50 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., while the victims were riding the Green Line and Pink Line trains, respectively. In both incidents, the female offender approached the victims as they were seated, took property from the victim’s hands by force then fled the train. For More Information Click Here

Chicago Police Has Partnered with Numerous Agencies to Conduct First-Ever Distracted Driving Missions
On April 24, 2017, the Chicago Police Department partnered with the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, AAA, the Illinois State Police, SafetyServe.com, the National Safety Council, the Illinois Insurance Association, supporters from the private sector, and almost 300 law enforcement/fire agencies throughout Illinois, in support of the first-ever Illinois Distracted Driving Awareness Week and the National Campaign. 24 Apr 17-Community Alert 1st District Robbery on CTA (P17-1-100CA) This alert gives notice of robbery related incidents during the month of April 2017. Two incidents occurred on the CTA trains while in motion. Unknown offender(s) punched the unsuspecting victims in the face, causing bodily harm, and then grabbed the victim’s cell phones or purses, and fled as the train doors opened.

Area Central Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the above two suspects responsible for taking cell phones from citizens. The incident occurred on February 11, 2017 at approximately 7:00 p.m., on the CTA Green line train located in 100 block of N. DUI Saturation Patrol – 16th (Jefferson Park) District
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the Jefferson Park (016th District) this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 06, 2017 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 07, 2017. The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving.
