Community Alert – 16th & 16th Districts – Robberies (P15-N-208)
In these cases, a victim is approached from behind by 1 to 4 unknown offender(s). One offender displays a dark or silver colored handgun, while the other offender(s) takes property from the victim. Community Alert – 17th District – Residential Burglary (P15-N-200)
There have been numerous recent Residential Burglaries on Beats 1712 and 1713. In these cases, an unknown offender forcibly enters the victim’s apartment/residence through either a door or window and removes the victim’s jewelry. Click here for more information on the Community Alert

Business Alert – 17th District – Commercial Burglaries (P15-N-190)
There have been two recent commercial burglaries of restaurants in the 17th District. In these cases, an unknown offender shattered the front glass door with a hammer, and entered the restaurants. In one incident the offender took the cash register but in the incident that occurred on August 18th, the offender noticed the cash register drawer was open and empty, and did not take any property. Gurnee Man Charged in Albany Park Shooting
Phakthra Savath was arrested after he was identified as the person who shot a 21 year old man in the 4400 block of N. Kedzie Ave., on July 20, 2015 at approximately 1:10 a.m. The 21 year old man sustained gunshot wounds to the right thigh and left ankle. He was taken for treatment to Christ Hospital in fair condition. Savath was arrested and charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time. 17thDist Burglaries _P15-N-155_CA_Four recent Burglary related incidents have occurred in the 17th District. In these cases, an unknown offender enters the victim’s residence through an unlocked window or door. The offender has taken TVs, clothes, jewelry, cash, laptops, and small electronics.

Community Alert – 17th District – Robberies (P15-N-140)
Two armed robberies have occurred in the 17th District on beat 1724. In the first incident, three offenders approach a victim in the alley, demand money, display a handgun, point it to the victim’s head and take the victim’s cell phone and money. In the second incident, a single offender is in the alley, acting as though he needs help. As the victim approaches, the offender strikes him in the head with a handgun and takes the victim’s money.
