Community Alert – 22nd District – Catalytic Converter Thefts (P15-2-084)
About these crimes: On August 26, 2015, there were numerous reports of catalytic converters thefts from vehicles located in the Beverly & Morgan Park neighborhoods (9900-11700 S. Campbell – Washtenaw). Most of the targeted vehicles appear to be small to mid-size SUVs. The thefts occurred between 12:00am and 5:30am. Pictured above is a catalytic converter. Community Alert – 4th District – Residential Burglaries (P15-2-083)
This alert gives notice to residents of the 4th District (South Chicago) an increase in reported residential burglaries. During the month of August, six residential burglaries were reported in the area extending from East End Ave and Constance between 76th and 79th Street. Community Alert – 1th & 18th Districts – Robbery (P15-1-189)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 1st (Central) and 18th (Near North) Districts of robbery related incidents during the month of August 2015. Offenders were driving a newer model, small hatchback, black or dark blue in color. The driver was wearing a white shirt in both incidents. Offenders displayed a black handgun in both incidents. Community Alert – 15th District – Vehicular Hijacking (P15-N-191)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 15th District (Austin) of Robbery/Vehicular Hijacking related incidents that have occurred during the month of August. In these incidents two male black offenders who are armed with handguns, approach victim and rob them of their personal property and take the victims vehicle. Community Alert – 15th District – Armed Robberies (P15-N-192)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 15th District (Austin) of an increase in Armed Robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of July and August. Community Alert – 1st District – Robbery (P15-1-187)
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 001st District (Central) of robbery related incidents during the month of August. Unknown offenders have approached victims while walking on sidewalk. The offenders then punched or knocked victims to the ground. Offenders continued to kick their victim or hold their victim on the ground while co-offenders took wallets from the victim’s pants pocket, or stole computer devices from victim’s possession. Community Alert – 14th District – Attempted Robbery (P15-N-189)
Robberies in which a group of several offenders attempt to rob their victims are occurring in the 14th District. In two cases a female offender attempts to grab the victim’s cell phone by force and demands the victim surrender it, while the male offenders surround the victim. Three Strong Arm Robbery incidents have occurred in the 17th District. In these cases, a Male Hispanic offender approaches a female victim, demands her chain/necklace and grabs the necklace from the victim’s neck. Click here for more information on the Community Alert

Community Alert – 22nd District – Residential Burglary (P15-2-081)
This alert gives notice to residents of the Morgan Park (22nd) District of nine recent burglary incidents that occurred in the Washington Heights neighborhood on beat 2222 during the month of August 2015. In these incidents, a group of two to four male offenders make entry into houses through a window, taking property from within the residence and exit through the back door. Community Alert – 8th District – Burglary (P15-1-184)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) of burglary incidents which have occurred during the month of August.
