Search Warrant Policy for Public Review and Comment

Thank you for visiting the Chicago Police Department’s public comment forum for the draft Department Special Order on Search Warrants. As part of our ongoing mission to provide community members a meaningful opportunity to comment on CPD policies and grow trust within the communities we serve, CPD is asking the public for input on its revised draft of its policy on Search Warrants. The comment period will last for 15 days beginning on March 3, 2021 and ending on March 18, 2021. CPD will consider all public comments received before finalizing the directive. Below you will find the draft of the revised Chicago Police Department Search Warrant policy. For reference, click here to review the existing policy.
