CPD Officers Render Aid to Fifty-Four Year Old Man Attempting Suicide CHICAGO – On Saturday, September 10th, at approximately 12:29 p.m., Chicago Police Officer Fernando Flores and partners were dispatched to a call of a man threating suicide at the 2700 Block of West Montrose. Upon arrival they observed a male standing on top of the bridge which crosses the river, threatening to jump. This alert gives notice to two recent Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 014th District (Shakespeare). In these two cases, the offender displayed a long barreled firearm to the victim and demanded their property. In one incident, the offender took and fled in the victim’s automobile. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) entered apartments and residences, through windows and doors. The offenders removed electronics, jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items.
