This alert gives notice of three Vehicular Hijackings that have occurred in the 11th District in the month of January 2017. In all of these incidents, the offender approached and ordered the victim to exit their automobile before fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle. DUI Saturation Patrol – 25th (Grand Central) District
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the 25th District this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017. The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. This alert gives notice of two recent Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 025th District (Grand Central). Two Charged in Police Involved Shooting in the 4500 Block of N. Kedzie Ave.
Brieto-Solano was arrested after he was identified as the person who committed an Aggravated Assault in the 4500 block of N. Kedzie on January 15, 2017 at 7:23 p.m. During this incident, Brieto-Solano, while inside of a vehicle, fired a handgun at an off-duty CPD Sergeant, a 45-year-old male, and a 43-year-old male before fleeing. After being shot at, off-duty CPD Sergeant returned fire striking Brieto-Solano in the head. Shortly thereafter, Brieto-Solano arrived at Swedish Covenant Hospital to seek treatment…
