Man Extradited from Wisconsin for Murder
Omar Dixon was extradited from Wisconsin after he was identified as the man who shot a male victim in the 8100 block of S. Artesian Ave., on January 14, 2015 at approximately 5:20 p.m. Dixon produced a handgun, announced a robbery and fatally shot a 24-year-old male victim in the chest. Dixon was apprehended in Madison, WI, extradited to Chicago and charged accordingly. Further details are unavailable at this time. # # # Murder Charges for Omar Dixon

Community Alert – 8th District – Attempted Luring (HY125117)
On January 21, 2015 at approximately 3:15 PM, an unknown male in a parked red minivan, attempted to lure a female youth into his vehicle by telling her that her mother told him to pick her up from school. The female youth refused and walked away. The offender at this time fled in the vehicle. This incident occurred in the vicinity of the 4700 block of South Komensky. Community Alert – 10th District – Home Invasion, Attempted Criminal Sexual Assault (HY124049)
This alert gives notice to residents of the 10th District (Ogden) of a Home Invasion / Attempt Criminal Sexual Assault that occurred on the 2900 Block of West 25th Street on January 22, 2015. An unknown offender entered a home through a window and attacked an adult female victim while threatening to sexually assault her.
