Deering (9th) District Commander Apprehends Burglary Offenders While En Route to Deliver Custom Notification Letter

Community Alert – Major Accidents, 8th District – Fatal Hit & Run (HZ120804)
On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at approximately 2:05 p.m., a 72-year-old female was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the 6400 block of South Kedzie Avenue. As a result of the crash, the victim sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene of the crash without identifying themselves or rendering aid to the victim. Beverly Man Charged in Garfield Ridge Murder
Dannee Brewer, 23 was arrested after he was identified as the person who shot and killed a 37 year old man. This incident occurred in the 4500 block of S. Cicero Ave. on January 16, 2016, at approximately 11:45 a.m. Officers responded to a call of a man shot and discovered the victim unresponsive in the parking lot. The victim was taken to Mt.
