Community Alert – 19th District – Robberies (P15-N-197)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 19th (Town Hall) District of robberies that occurred on August 29 & 31, 2015. In these incidents, offenders approached the victims on the street and used force to rob them. In two incidents, the victims were attacked from behind. Southside Man Charged in Commercial Building Fire
Eric HOWARD was positively identified as the person who was observed entering a secured building’s stairway at 3200 N. Sheffield on July 28th at 11:55 am, then exiting after a fire occurred. HOWARD admitted that he used a lighter to ignite carpeting in the stairwell and to ignite a bag inside a commercial dumpster at the same location. 30Jul15 Charges for Eric Howard _Arson_

North Side Man Charged in Fatal Stabbing
Ross Feiwell, 58 was arrested in connection to a stabbing that occurred on June 14, 2015, at approx. 9:45 pm on the 4400 Block of N. Broadway Ave. During a verbal altercation with a 49 year old male, Feiwell produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the neck. Feiwell was subsequently taken into custody after he was positively identified as the offender. The victim was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he was pronounced. Click here for more…

Humboldt Park Man Charged with Murder
Kristopher Pitts was arrested after being identified as the offender who fatally shot a 25 year old man in the chest during the commission of a robbery. This occurred on the 900 block of W. Oakdale, May 30, 2015 at approximately 2:00 am. 30May15 Charges for Kristopher Pitts _Murder_
