Community Alert – 17th District -Burglaries (P16-N-128 CA)
There have been recent Burglaries in the 17th District. In these cases, an unknown offender forcibly enters the victim’s residence by forcing open a rear door or breaking a lower level window. In one case, an offender enters through an unlocked window. In all of the cases, the offender takes jewelry, computers, video game systems and USC. Click here for more info

North West Side Man Charged in Fatal Traffic Crash
Jason Missak was arrested after being identified as the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal traffic crash which occurred on June 5, 2016 at approximately 7:00 a.m. on the 3200 block of W. Belmont. The offender was driving a 2005 Jaguar westbound on Belmont Avenue and ran a red light at the intersection of Kedzie Avenue striking the passenger side of a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. Community Alert – 17th District – Attempted Child Luring (HZ241336)
On April 26, 2016, at approximately 6:00 p.m., a female juvenile was walking home from school (Roosevelt H.S.). As the juvenile reached the 4500 block of North St. Louis Avenue, the driver of a White Jeep vehicle pulled up alongside the curb next to the juvenile. Irving Park Man Charged in Two Shootings
Daniel Zampini, 26 was arrested after he was identified as the person who shot a 38 year old man on April 15, 2016 at approximately 1:10 a.m. in the 0-100 block of S. Mayfield. The victim was standing outside when shots were fired from a passing black car. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition with 2 gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
