Mayor Emanuel, Superintendent McCarthy Launch Police Recruitment Campaign
Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Superintendent Garry McCarthy today announced that the City is accepting applications to join the Chicago Police Department for the first time since 2013. The starting salary for Chicago police officers is $47,604 and increases to $72,510 after eighteen months of employment. The application period is now open, and will close at the end of the day on Wednesday December 16, 2015. A written exam will be administered in February 2016 to those who apply. Business Alert – 15th District – Armed Robberies of Delivery Drivers (P15-N-215)
This alert gives notice to food delivery drivers operating within 015th District, particularly between the 5300 – 5500 block of W. Ohio. On one occasion, a food delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint, and in the second incident, the driver was able to drive away.
