This alert gives notice to two recent Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 014th District (Shakespeare). In these two cases, the offender displayed a long barreled firearm to the victim and demanded their property. In one incident, the offender took and fled in the victim’s automobile. The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Grand Central (25th) District at 4555 W. North Ave. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Community Alert – 14th District – Criminal Sexual Abuse (HZ261129)
On May 12, 2016 at approximately 7:30 AM, a 17 year old female was walking eastbound on the 2400 block of West Cortland, when she was approached by the below described offender. The offender attempted to engage the victim in conversation and as she continued to walk the offender grabbed the victim’s buttocks from behind. Business Alert – 14th District -Armed Robberies (P16-N-091)

In each case, the offenders approach the victim on the street or alley, and announce a robbery. The offenders display a handgun and go through the victim’s pockets and remove property. This alert gives notice to residents in the 11th, 14th and 15th Districts of Robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of March 2016.
