Community Alert – 11th District – CTA Related Robberies (P16-N-185)
This alert gives notice of recent Robberies that have occurred in the 011th District on CTA trains and at CTA train stations. In three of the incidents, the victims were riding on the train and the offenders struck the victims with fists and took property from their pockets. Roadside Safety Check – 4th (South Chicago) District
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the South Chicago (4th) District at Brainard & Baltimore. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016. During roadside safety checks, police officers slow down traffic, stop cars at regular intervals and watch for drivers who show signs of alcohol impairment and other violations as noted below. Community Alert – 11th District – Seeking to Identify: Homicide (HZ216949)
Area North Detectives are seeking to identify these individuals who were involved in a Homicide which occurred on April 7, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m. on the 3400 block of W. Chicago Ave. During this incident, the offenders approached the victims on foot and one offender displayed a handgun and fired several shots. Second Man Charged in 2015 Murders
Ricky Dortch was arrested on June 30, 2016 in connection to a murder that occurred on the 3000 Block of W. Van Buren on August 26, 2015 at approximately 10:35 a.m. The offender was positively identified as the person, who played a key role in assisting in the murder of a male victim, age 23, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head, and another male victim, 22, who sustained a gunshot wound to the back.
