On Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 at approximately 3:45 PM, a juvenile male was walking to an after school program when an unknown male approached him in the 3500 block of Ogden Ave. The unknown male then inappropriately grabbed the juvenile’s genitals and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Community Alert – 10th District – Seeking to Identify: Homicide Suspect (HY484627)
Area Central Detectives are seeking assistance in identifying a homicide suspect. On November 1, 2015 at approximately 8:34 a.m on the 4000 block of West 31st St a 23 year old male sustained a gun shot in the chest after a male offender on foot fired a weapon before fleeing in a vehicle. Mayor Emanuel, Superintendent McCarthy Launch Police Recruitment Campaign
Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Superintendent Garry McCarthy today announced that the City is accepting applications to join the Chicago Police Department for the first time since 2013. The starting salary for Chicago police officers is $47,604 and increases to $72,510 after eighteen months of employment. The application period is now open, and will close at the end of the day on Wednesday December 16, 2015. A written exam will be administered in February 2016 to those who apply. Offender Charged with Aggravated Assault of Police Officer
On August 16, 2015 at approximately 4:17 a.m., Ogden (10th) District officers responded to a call of a burglary-in-progress on the 1900 block of S. Trumbull. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject matching the description of the offender. Officers gave the subject verbal direction and he refused to comply. Man Charged in North Lawndale Murder
Marlon Welton,20 was arrested after he was identified as the man who fatally shot a 15 year old boy. This incident occurred on June 16, 2015 at approximately 5:35 p.m. in the 1400 block of S. Millard Ave. The 15 year old was standing in a group of people during an argument when Welton fired shots striking the victim. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest and later pronounced. Welton was charged accordingly.…

Three Juveniles Charged Fatal North Lawndale Shooting
Three male juveniles were arrested after they were identified as the persons responsible for fatally shooting a 15 year old boy. The incident occurred in the 4100 block of W. Cullerton St., on June 17, 2015 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Three male juveniles approached a 15 year old boy and announced a robbery. The 15 year old turned to flee when he was shot in the back. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition and later pronounced.…

10th district Attempt Luring _HY287940_On June 3, 2015, at approximately 7:50 AM, on the 2600 block of W 21st Place a male Hispanic attempted to lure a 14 year old female into his vehicle. The Offender used his vehicle to block the youth’s path as she attempted to cross the street. At which time she ran away.
