Community Alert – 11th District – Attempted Robberies (P15-N-019)
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Robbery-Related incidents that have occurred in the month of January 2015. In both incidents, the victim was seated in a parked vehicle when the crimes occurred. On January 15, 2015, the offender struck the victim with fists and took the victim’s purse. Community Alert – Major Accidents, 5th District – Hit & Run (HY112680)
On Monday, January 12, 2015, at approximately 3:53 p.m., a 27-year-old female school crossing guard was struck by a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of 127th Street and Union Avenue. This incident occurred while school children were crossing the street. As a result of the crash, the crossing guard sustained serious personal injuries. Community Alert – 20th District – Strong Arm Robberies (P15-N-020)
This alert gives notice to residents of the 20th District (Lincoln) of four Robberies that occurred in December 2014 and early January 2015. Three of the Robberies occurred late in the evening on the sidewalk. The other occurred at the CTA station. This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Robberies that have occurred in the month of January. In both incidents, the victim was robbed in a parking lot. In one incident, the offenders used a handgun. In the other incident, the offender displayed an unknown hard object to the victim. In both incidents, the offenders took money from the victims.
