Community Alert – Major Accidents, 16th District – Hit & Run (HY112680)
On Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at approximately 6:25 p.m., a 55-year-old female was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on the 3400 block of N. Harlem Ave. As a result of the crash, the victim sustained serious personal injuries and is being treated at an area hospital in critical condition. Community Alert – 11th District – Armed Robbery/Handgun (P15-N-063)
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Armed Robbery-Related incidents that have occurred in the month of February. In both incidents, the three unknown offenders displayed a handgun and demanded money and property from the victims. In one incident, the offenders took the victim’s wallet. Community Alert – 11th District – Robberies (P15-N-050)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 11th District (Area North) of an increase in robbery related incidents that have occurred during the months of January and February 2015. In these incidents, offender’s utilized a black /dark van and took by force and the threat of force by displaying a handgun, and taking cell phones, USC and personal property i.e. purse containing identification and credit cards from citizens on the street. Community Alert – 8th District – Attempted Kidnapping (HY148820)
On Thursday, February 12, 2015 at approximately 8:15 A.M. in the area of 5700 S Keeler Ave a male student was approached by a male white between the ages of 55-60. This person attempted to grab the male student on his way to school. The student was able to get free and run home. Click here for more information.
