This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential and apartment burglaries that have occurred in the month of September 2015. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences through windows or doors and have taken electronics, jewelry, cash and other miscellaneous items. Community Alert – 16th & 16th Districts – Robberies (P15-N-208)
In these cases, a victim is approached from behind by 1 to 4 unknown offender(s). One offender displays a dark or silver colored handgun, while the other offender(s) takes property from the victim. This alert gives notice to residents in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn)of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of September. This alert gives notice to residents in the 7th, 11th and 15th Districts (Areas North and South) of robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of September. In these incidents, the offender(s) used force or the threat of force by displaying a handgun, and taking cell phones, coats and vehicles from citizens on the street. This alert gives notice to residents of the 4th District (South Chicago) of a series of residential burglaries reported in the area extending from 96th Street south to 98th Street between Chappel and Crandon Avenues. In these incidents, the offender(s) approach victims, demand property, and flee the area. In one instance, the offender(s) punched the victim in the face. This alert gives notice to residents in the012th District of robbery related incidents that have occurred on Beat 1232 during the month of September 2015. In these incidents, one offender approaches the victims on the street and robs them of personal property by knocking the victim down or implying he has a gun.
