The Chicago Police Department’s Robbery Task Force has secured felony charges against an offender responsible for multiple armed robberies that occurred within three days in the city’s Roseland community earlier this month.
A 25-year-old male offender was identified as the individual who approached a 70-year-old female victim in the 10400 block of S. Michigan Avenue on the morning of October 4, 2025, indicated he had a gun, and robbed the victim of her cell phone.
Later that night, the same offender approached a 20-year-old male victim in the 0-100 block of E. 109th St., brandished a firearm and robbed the victim of his cell phone.
The next night, on October 5, 2025 in the 10400 block of S. Prairie Ave., the offender approached a 35-year-old female victim, pointed a firearm at her, and robbed her of her belongings, including her cell phone.
The final armed robbery this offender is charged with occurred in the 10000 block of S. St. Lawrence Ave. on October 6, 2025. In this incident, the offender approached a 22-year-old male victim, displayed a firearm and robbed him of his cell phone and other belongings.
In each of the incidents he is charged in, the offender utilized an electric scooter while in the commission of the robberies. This information proved important to the investigation. Detectives worked with Lime scooter company to obtain information that helped identify the offender. Community members also provided video evidence that assisted in the investigation.
The offender has been charged with:
- Three felony counts of Armed Robbery with a Firearm
- One felony count of Aggravated Robbery – Indicate Armed with a Firearm
- Issuance of Warrant
Four robbery cases are now closed and a dangerous offender is off the street because of information 5th District officers gathered after each incident, the partnership with Lime and the community, and the Robbery Task Force’s diligent investigation.
