This alert gives notice to residents of the South Chicago (4th) District of two robberies both of which occurred inside a chain restaurant. In each incident, the offender(s) entered the location and approached the counter as if attempting to make a purchase. Once the register was opened, the offenders attempted to remove money from the register. The offenders were only successful once in their efforts.
