McCarthy announced Eric Washington has been promoted to become the Department’s Deputy Chief of Community Policing, a new role that will further cement the expanded role community policing and neighborhood partnerships have taken under this administration. Including Washington, the Department is promoting four deputy chiefs, one commander and five Captains today.
