Garcia, C. Camerena and I. Camarena were detained after officers responding to a call of arson in progress arrived on scene and observed the three offenders fleeing from the back of the residences on the 1400 block of W. Marquette Rd. on August 2, 2016 at approximately 9:25 pm. Further investigation revealed an unconscious child wrapped in a burnt blanket in the basement of the building. The male child was pronounced on scene. An odor of lighter fluid could be smelled by officers emanating from the three offenders. Garcia, C. Camarena and I. Camarena were placed into custody and charged accordingly. Area South Detectives are awaiting further results from the Medical Examiner for additional possible charges. No further information is available at this time.
