Edwards was arrested on May 14, 2016 by the Danville Police Department after a traffic stop revealed the offender had an active murder warrant originating in Chicago. Kevin Edwards, Dwight Boone-Doty, and Corey Morgan are charged with luring nine year old Tyshawn Lee into an alley and executing him in the 8000 Block of South Damen on November 2, 2016.
