11 May 17-Community Alert-22nd District Vehicular Hijackings (P17-2-054CA)

This alert gives notice of two recent Vehicle Hijackings that occurred within the boundaries of the 22nd District (Morgan Park) on beat 2221. In these cases, a Male African American, between 45-50 years old approached female senior citizens, in the area or 9300 S. Ashland. The offender grabbed the ladies purses, and then
entered and fled the area in their cars. Incidents occurred between 11:00am- 1:00pm. The offender displayed a handgun in one incident.
