This alert gives notice to residents in the 12th District (Near West) of recent Theft from Auto incidents. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gained entry into parked vehicles by breaking a window of the vehicle or opening unlocked car doors. Once inside, offender(s) removed property from inside the vehicle. The offenders have targeted parked vehicles that had purses, laptops and bags easily visible from the outside of the vehicle.
