This alert gives notice to the residents of the 12th District (Near West) of Motor Vehicle Theft related incidents which have occurred during the month of April 2017. During these incidents, the offenders rear-ended the victim’s vehicles while in traffic. Once the victim exited their vehicle to assess the situation/damage, a second offender entered the victim’s driver side door and fled with the vehicle.
