This alert gives notice to residents in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) of Deceptive Practice incidents in the month of July 2017. In these incidents, the offender places an ad for an apartment rental. The victims give the offender rent/security deposit and then learn the property is not for rent and they lose the money they have given to the offender.
