03MAY15Charges for Powell, Hogan, Belmont Hogan, Powell and Belmont were arrested and charged in connection with two armed robberies.  The first robbery occurred at approx. 2:00 am on May 1, 2015 in the 3700 block of S. Vincennes were the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds.  The second robbery occurred at approx. 3:00 am on May 1, 2015 in the 00 – 100 block of E. 21^st St.  Officers while on patrol were flagged down by the victims of the second robbery who gave officers a detailed description of the offenders and their vehicle.  Officers located the offenders on the 500 block of 43^rd street.  Hogan exited the vehicle revealing a handgun in his waist band area and charged the officer hitting him with his body. The officer’s weapon discharged after Hogan ran into the officer striking the offender. Hogan dropped the weapon and fled. Powell and Belmont were taken into custody without incident. A weapon was recovered. Hogan, Powell and Belmont have all been charged accordingly.
