This alert gives notice to residents and visitors to the Lincoln Park area of the 18th District of an Attempt Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault. A 43 year old female was attacked by an unknown male offender while she was exercising along a walking path near 1755 N. Stockton Drive (within the park, east of Stockton Drive and north of LaSalle St.) The offender hit the victim with an unknown object and attempted to sexually assault her. The offender was unsuccessful and the victim was able to get away and notify police.
