On Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at approximately 6:25 p.m., a 55-year-old female was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on the 3400 block of N. Harlem Ave. As a result of the crash, the victim sustained serious personal injuries and is being treated at an area hospital in critical condition. Community Alert – Major Accidents, 5th District – Hit & Run (HY112680)
On Monday, January 12, 2015, at approximately 3:53 p.m., a 27-year-old female school crossing guard was struck by a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of 127th Street and Union Avenue. This incident occurred while school children were crossing the street. As a result of the crash, the crossing guard sustained serious personal injuries. On January 1, 2015, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Aimer Robledo was killed while riding his bicycle west on Division, when he was struck by a red SUV at 4606 W. Division.
