Lincoln Square Man Charged with Impersonating the Police
Wade was arrested after he was identified as the person who had appeared in public and claimed to be a member of the Chicago Police Department. A witness notified police officers with information that Wade was in possession of police equipment and uniform. Aware of that information, officers placed Wade into custody without incident on February 28, 2016 at 10:59pm in the 2700 Block of West Summerdale Ave. He was charged accordingly. West Ridge Man Charged in Taxi Driver Murder
Lamon Weathers was arrested after he was identified as the man who murdered 58 year old Kamil Shamji. Shamji was discovered inside his taxi cab with a gunshot wound to the head on February 22, 2016 at approximately 7:55 a.m. This incident occurred in the 4400 block of N. Leavitt. Kamil Shamji was pronounced on the scene. Lamon Weathers was charged accordingly. Click here for more info

Roadside Safety Check – 16th (Jefferson Park) District
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Jefferson Park (16th) District at 5900 W. Irving Park Road. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Click here for more info

Fourth Man Charged with Rogers Park Murder
Armani Bearden was arrested in connection with the murder of a 64 year old man. This incident occurred on the 6500 block of N. Hoyne Avenue on December 10, 2015 at approximately 5:30 p.m. Three others have previously been charged – Shatrata Lehmann, Alexander Robinson and a male juvenile. Bearden was charged accordingly. North Side Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography
Dennis T. Long, 54 was arrested and charged in connection to an incident which occurred on January 21, 2016 in the 4300 block of N. Cicero Avenue at approximately 10:45 a.m. An employee of a storage facility was emptying a storage unit for lack of payment when he inadvertently discovered sexually explicit photos of minors, as well as other suspicious articles, in a piece of furniture which was being discarded. Business Alert – 17th District Robberies of Pizza Delivery Drivers (P16-N-039)
There have been four recent robberies of pizza delivery drivers in the 17th District. In each of these cases a food order was placed, but when the driver arrived to make the delivery multiple offenders approached him, displayed a weapon, and took the driver’s wallet, phone, and food order. In one case, the offender displayed a handgun. In all of the cases, at least one offender was armed with a knife. Click here for more info

Community Alert – 25th District – Robberies (P16-N-038)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 25th District of three recent robberies on Beat 2534. In these cases, multiple offenders approached the victims and announced a robbery. The offenders threatened the victims with a firearm and then took the victims’ personal property. In two cases, the offenders were seen fleeing in a small white vehicle, possibly a Chevy.
