Business Alert – 25th District – Robbery of Delivery Drivers (P16-N-119)
This business alert is to inform local businesses of three Robbery incidents that have occurred in the 25th District. In these incidents, multiple offenders approach the victim who is making a food order delivery. In two cases, the offenders are armed and in one case a group of offenders commit a strong arm robbery against the driver. North West Side Man Charged in Fatal Traffic Crash
Jason Missak was arrested after being identified as the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal traffic crash which occurred on June 5, 2016 at approximately 7:00 a.m. on the 3200 block of W. Belmont. The offender was driving a 2005 Jaguar westbound on Belmont Avenue and ran a red light at the intersection of Kedzie Avenue striking the passenger side of a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. Superintendent Johnson Announces Every Police Officer Responding to Calls Now Trained to Use a Taser
Superintendent Eddie Johnson and the Chicago Police Department are announcing today that starting this week every police officer responding to calls is now trained to use a Taser. Additionally, CPD is announcing that the police department’s body-worn camera program has officially expanded, with officers in the 14th District now wearing the cameras while on patrol and officers in the 15th District scheduled to wear the cameras in the next couple weeks.
