Business Alert – 16th District – Commercial Burglaries (P17-N-104)
This alert gives notice to businesses within the 16th District (Jefferson Park) about recent burglaries which have occurred overnight during the month of April. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gained entry to the premises by forcibly kicking or prying open the front or rear door. Offender(s) also have gained entry by breaking the front windows of the business. Once inside, the offender(s) took money and various other items including electronics and cigarettes. This alert gives notice of two recent Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 17th District (Albany Park). In both incidents, the victims were standing at CTA Bus Stops when they were robbed. In one incident, the offenders displayed a handgun and took the victim’s wallet. Community Alert – 19th District – Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault (JA245622)
On April 30, 2017 at approximately 9:10 p.m. a 31-year-old female was walking southbound on the 4300 block of North Campbell when she was approached from behind by an unknown offender, described as a male black wearing a dark colored sweatshirt. The offender produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The offender then ordered the victim into the alley on the 2400 block of W. Pensacola where he sexually assaulted her.
