Community Alert – 17th District – Criminal Sexual Abuse (HY105365)
On January 5, 2015, at approximately 8:45 PM, a 13 year old female was walking home from a friend’s house in the 3700 block of west Ainslie when an adult male offender approached her from behind. The offender uttered unknown words to her in Spanish and grabbed the victim’s buttocks. The victim began to scream and the offender fled through a nearby gangway. Community Alert – 11th District – Robberies (P15-N-003)
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Robberies that have occurred in the month of January. In both incidents, the offender or offenders approached on bicycles. In one incident, two offenders grabbed the victim’s purse and fled on bicycles. Community Alert – 15th District – Robberies (P15-N-001)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 15th District of an increase in Robberies involving a black colored SUV (possibly a black Chevy Trailblazer or black GMC Envoy) . Community Alert – Major Accidents, 25th District – Fatal Hit & Run (HY100174)
On January 1, 2015, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Aimer Robledo was killed while riding his bicycle west on Division, when he was struck by a red SUV at 4606 W. Division. Business Alert – 17th District – Commercial Burglaries (P14-N-225)
About the Crime: There have been recent Commercial Burglaries in the 17th District. In these cases, unknown offenders forcibly enter a cell phone store by throwing a brick through the front window, or by prying open the rear door, and then enter business and take cell phones, USC, and other merchandise. Detectives Ask for Help in Identifying Owners of Stolen Property
During a recent investigation into a string of burglaries committed in the 19th (Town Hall) and 20th (Lincoln) Districts, Chicago Police recovered numerous unclaimed items, all believed to be stolen, including cameras, laptops and jewelry. On Friday, December 5th, 2014, Area North Detectives invited the public to view, identify, and claim their stolen property.
