On April 24, 2017, the Chicago Police Department partnered with the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, AAA, the Illinois State Police, SafetyServe.com, the National Safety Council, the Illinois Insurance Association, supporters from the private sector, and almost 300 law enforcement/fire agencies throughout Illinois, in support of the first-ever Illinois Distracted Driving Awareness Week and the National Campaign. Two incidents occurred on the CTA trains while in motion. Unknown offender(s) punched the unsuspecting victims in the face, causing bodily harm, and then grabbed the victim’s cell phones or purses, and fled as the train doors opened.

DUI Saturation Patrol – 8trh (Chicago Lawn) District
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the Chicago Lawn (8th) District this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
